How does the DreamMakers Dance year work?

Classes will start after labor day and run through the end of the school year. During our season, dancers will have weekly classes, fun events scattered throughout the year, and preparation for our end-of-year performance. We are hopeful to continue adding performing opportunities as the years progress! Please see our studio calendar for the 2025-2026 dance year.

How are class placements determined?

We base your dancer’s class placement level on a variety of factors, such as age, ability, years of dance, etc. With your dancer’s best interest at heart, we may adjust his/her class placement so that we are able to find the best fit for them.

Are parents/legal guardians allowed to watch or sit in the waiting room?

We do not allow parents/legal guardians to watch class on a weekly basis because we want to encourage an intimate space for our dancers to grow together and bond with their fellow students and instructor(s) without distraction. We will be having parent visitation week(s) that will be announced as the year starts to unfold. However, you are more than welcome to sit in the waiting room if you’d like to or if you have any errands to run, don’t worry, we’ll keep your dancer safe.

What are the dancewear requirements for class?

Studio dance attire will be purchased through the studio including leotards, tights, shoes, etc., and that’s what is to be worn for class. Hair should be worn in a nice bun unless told otherwise. Specific dancewear will be announced later this summer.

We will have scheduled returning student and NEW student dancewear fittings during our August Open Houses. Be on the lookout for further details on what your dancer may need in terms of attire.

What makes up the Recital Package?

Our recital package that is included in your annual recital costume invoice includes:

  • Recital Cast T-Shirt,

  • Professional Recording of the Performances,

  • Digital & Edited Music/Choreography Video to practice your dancer’s choreography at home,

  • Memorabilia Button

If you have siblings, we can adjust this recital package and price accordingly.

What is our studio inclement weather policy?

Please see image.

How does club class tuition and make-up classes work?

Tuition is NON-REFUNDABLE.  NO refunds will be given for missed lessons.  Each student’s annual tuition amount covers 30 weekly or bi-weekly classes.  In reality, each student will typically have more than 30 weekly or bi-weekly classes.  These “extra” classes will help to compensate for weather closures, holidays etc.  There are NO make up lessons, unless we drop below the 30 weekly/bi-weekly classes paid for.

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

What are the typical topics of cost during the dance year (excluding summer)?

Each dance year will include the following costs:

  • Annual Pre-Registration or Registration Fee

  • Dancewear Package or individual items during fittings (DreamMakers has their own dress code)

  • Monthly Tuition: Club Classes (10 months Sept.-June) and Company (12 months July-July) *You have the option to pay annually which you will receive a 5% discount. Specific rates, please reach out to the studio.
