Our Programs

DreamMakers Curriculum

Find the right program for you to grow as a dancer! Each track offered here at DreamMakers is grouped by technical skill level and commitment requirements.

We aim to help young dancers to explore movement through music, enhance their physical abilities, teach terminology, and nurture their creativity.

Club Dance

This program is for our everyday dancer! No previous experience necessary and we welcome all levels and ages. These classes meet 1-2 times a week. There may be an occasional a la carte class offered if you’re a dancer who would like a little more.

Dancers on this track will perform in our annual recital with hopes of a holiday performance in the future (this first year could still be a work in progress).

Company

This program is for our dancers wanting to take their dance training to the next level technically and requires a higher level of commitment to the studio.

Auditions will be held each year to continue and/or be selected as a member of our Company. Note: if coming from another studio, one must have dance training and can audition at the owner’s discretion.

Company members will have 2 or more days a week of technique classes, leaps and turns class, strength and conditioning training, possibility of master classes, attending at least one convention, annual recital, and possibly participating in more performances (holiday parade, gala, showcase, etc.)

Collective

This will be our competition team (separate addition to our Company). Auditions will be held to become a member of our Collective. A dancer must be a current DreamMakers Company member and, similar to our Company program, if coming from another studio, one must have dance training and can audition at the owner’s discretion. Dancers wanting to audition are striving to take their dance education a step further.

This team will entail the same requirements and expectations of Company dancers along with more time commitments and additional fees. This further level of commitment includes: more rehearsal time, at least one convention with competition per year (subject to change). In addition to our annual recital, we hope to participate in more performances (holiday parade, gala, showcase, etc.)

What is the point of competition?

We feel that participating in competition against local and non-local teams will allow our instructors and dancers the opportunity to be inspired!  This is how DreamMakers hopes to continuously improve and evolve with the times while challenging ourselves to grow with endless possibilities.  Students who wish to pursue dance professionally have an opportunity to push, build, and develop their performance skills through competition.  Competition allows the dancer to perform more frequently and teaches them the importance of thriving under pressure as well as giving them more chances to dance in front of a live audience!  As stated above, DreamMakers Collective will be required to attend at least one convention per season, giving our dancers the opportunity to take class from teachers who are currently working in the industry.  Being apart of our competition team will help each dancer build their confidence and become a well-rounded, well-trained performer that is able to share their gift/talent with others.

Fitness

We are hoping to expand our class schedule to be able to offer fitness related classes, such as yoga, zumba, personal training, etc.

This program will all be dependent on building DreamMakers Dance Studio.

Please stay tuned!
